My heart shattered the moment I saw her lifeless body. The scent lingering in the air was familiar—too familiar. My wolf howled in anguish as I recognized the woman .” Heather’s voice broke through the silence. I didn’t turn to look at her, not until she came closer, her eyes wide as she saw the report in my hands.
