"I was completely screwed!” The night was so cold, my body felt like it was on fire. I climbed the stairs, step by step, for three long floors. Finally, I arrived home, slamming the door and stumbling over my own feet. All because I was late for the inauguration party of the new company president, where I worked as the head of the legal department. Punctuality was crucial, just like for the other department heads.

When I reached the door of my room, I prayed that Theo would be ready, but my smile disappeared when I entered and realized it was empty. The room was tidy and filled with his characteristic scent, but he wasn't there.

'Theo?' I called out, but the empty echo was unsettling. I sighed, feeling my heart tighten as I realized he had forgotten again.

After rushing back downstairs, I finally made it to the ceremony. The event was tedious, filled with etiquette rules, but I managed to impress some superiors,
