Akia POV

Esme and I continue to walk through the garden they have on the grounds. I’ve told her about the entire incident with Ares. I know she has a lot to say, but she hasn’t started yet. “I know, Esme. I know what you want to say.”

“If you know, why do we continue to go through this?”

“He’s my fated mate. What am I supposed to do? Am I supposed to turn away from the blessing the Goddess gave me? What happens with my bond to Apollo and Atlas?” Esme sighs as we turn and walk in the opposite direction.

“I don’t have those answers, but I do know that this isn’t good, Akia.”
