Chapter 62

Akia POV

The classroom door opens, disrupting the quiet in the room. All eyes travel to the door, including mine. I expected to see the professor, but instead, Matt is standing there, his eyes scanning the room.

I quickly put my eyes on my notebook in front of me. My body is almost numb, the shock rolling through me in waves. Matt is here, standing in this room. I haven’t seen him in what feels like forever. I never thought I’d see him again.

We left so many things unsaid and unsolved. Well, I didn’t leave anything; it was him. I still have no idea where he disappeared to or why he refused to communicate with me. I should hate him; I should see him as the scum of the earth. Maybe it’s because I’ve found happiness in my mates, but I’m not mad at him. I’m hurt and confused, but not mad.
