“May I be alone?” I request of the men who are moping at me like imbeciles. They have begun to irritate me because they seem determined to push me against my convictions.

“Get out!” I yell before they begin to wobble away reluctantly.

“You, wait.” I point at the only one who takes a bow before aiming for the exit. He halts, veering around to face me. My eyelids narrow at the sight of him.
