I didn’t spend much time taking my half bath, as even though the water I used was hot, the entire room was still cold, so the water in the tub cooled down quickly. After finishing, I got dressed, brushed my teeth, and then headed straight back to my room, immediately positioning myself near the heater.

When I returned, Asher didn’t even glance at me. He was completely absorbed in reading his diary entries from our first life.

I sat beside him, and as I grabbed Kara’s 1751 diary, I paused for a few seconds, wondering if I was ready to read… ready to face the emotions and the things I would learn about what Kara went through. I had a strong feeling these diary entries would break me… especially the part where she decided to run away from the palace and never show herself again.
