“Let’s wait for Dylan first…” Ashton said, glancing at his watch before adding, “He’ll be out of class in just 30 minutes.”

“Alright…” I nodded.

“Have you eaten? Let’s grab a bite… I’m starving.” Ashton didn’t wait for me to answer before heading off toward the university canteen, leaving me to follow along. And, honestly, it was only when he asked that I realized I was hungry too.

As we walked to the canteen, Ashton asked about Damon—where he was and what we should tell him if he came looking for me. Ashton knew I didn’t want anyone else to find out what I knew about the future, so he was cautious on my behalf.

I explained that Damon had classes until later, so there was no need to worry about him coming to find me.
