Since I didn’t take a break during lunch, I managed to finish the last-minute edits on the documentary by around 4 PM—well ahead of the end of my shift at 6 PM. The documentary was scheduled to air soon, though I wasn’t exactly sure of the specific date.
Before officially placing the file in the “To Air” folder, I made sure there were no mistakes, not even a single second of mismatched edits. I watched the entire documentary once at normal speed, and then again at 2x speed, meticulously scanning for errors. When I was confident that everything was polished, I sent it to the final stage of quality control. From there, the QC team would handle uploading the finished video into the appropriate folder.
With some time left in my shift, I decided to open the file Chace had sent earlier. Just as he’d mentioned, I immediately noticed that the pitch his team submitted was essentially a revised version of my original movie pitch.
