Chapter 346. I Didn’t Ignore You

After a few minutes of Tate massaging my foot, the pain still didn’t subside. I let out a frustrated sigh, leaning my head back against the car seat. Tate, noticing the discomfort etched on my face, quickly straightened up, his brow furrowed in concern. Without saying a word, he capped the liniment bottle, tossed it back into his bag, and hurried back to the driver’s seat.
He glanced at me briefly, his jaw tight. “We’re going to the nearest hospital,” he said, his tone leaving no room for argument.
I groaned, tilting my head to look at him. “Tate, I can just—”
“You can’t just walk it off, Asher.” He interrupted sharply, starting the car. His hands gripped the steering wheel firmly, knuckles turning slightly white. “I’m not taking any chances. You’re clearly in pain.”
I couldn’t argue with that—not with the persistent ache shooting through my tendon—but I still muttered, “You don’t have to act like I broke my entire leg.”
