After finishing the creamy carbonara I had made for Auntie, she went to take a bath. Uncle returned to the backyard to continue watering the plants in his greenhouse, and I busied myself clearing the table and washing the dishes.
Once I was done tidying up, I headed back home. Just as I stepped in, I got a message from Sarah saying she was on her way over. She said she was bored at her place and decided she’d get ready here instead. Apparently, she also needed someone to rant to because Fitz was going to the party. She admitted she had no idea how to react or interact with him later.
Sarah added that she’d watched countless movies where women encounter their exes or former flings, so she had a vague idea of how to act, but she still felt completely unprepared since this was her first time experiencing it in real life.
