Chapter 371. In One Table

“Sir Asher, you’re all friends, right?” The events planner gestured toward Zac and his group, who were seated at the table next to ours. “May I ask if you could share one table?” she added, her tone polite but a little hesitant.
“I’m sorry,” she continued, clearly uncomfortable. “We’re short on tables, and if we don’t combine yours, we won’t have enough.”
I glanced at the empty seats at our table—exactly four of them, which was just right for Zac, Migs, Fitz, and Chace.
Before answering, Asher looked at Sarah and then Paige. I kept my gaze deliberately fixed on some random spot in the distance, making it clear I had no interest in engaging with him. Perhaps he understood because he didn’t look my way or ask for my opinion.
“Do we even have a choice? Fine, let them sit here,” Sarah said to Asher, her tone dripping with annoyance. Even without looking at her, I could imagine her rolling her eyes. Paige, seated beside me, sighed quietly.
