Chapter 416. A Fantastic Situation

The post Asher saw on FaceGram a few days ago—the one about how the universe supposedly distances us from people we no longer want to see or be with, those whose chapters in our lives have ended—yeah, it seems like nonsense now. It’s as if the universe gave us a brief taste of peace, only to change its mind. Suddenly, Zac and Tate were back in our lives again. Fantastic.

Like this morning, for instance. The moment I woke up and saw the news that I’d be handling yet another meeting with Zac on my own because Candice was busy training and observing a new hire, my peace of mind was gone.
