At AJ’s resthouse in Friana Mountains, we did nothing but unwind. Despite the crisp, cool breeze, we soaked in the hot spring Jacuzzi, visited nearby parks like Friana Highlands—where stalls sold coffee, milk tea, and local Friana delicacies—booked an in-house spa and massage, got drunk, went biking, and tried activities we’d never done before, like boating and fishing at the lake, and even making clay pots.
We did so many things and went to so many places, all of which were entirely covered by AJ and Zac. Lee and I felt incredibly guilty about it, insisting that we could at least split the costs or contribute even just a little. But the two of them refused. They said it was their treat, that we should stop fussing over it. They brought us here precisely so we could relax—so we wouldn’t have to worry about anything.
