The doctor applied the cold gel to Alanna’s belly; everything was fine with the baby.

“Now let’s see the gender!” The doctor moved the device, but there was no result. Alanna lifted her head and spoke to her belly, “Baby, if you let mommy see your gender today, we’ll have pizza later!”

The baby responded by opening its legs. “It’s a girl!” Alanna squealed with delight.

“What about the name?” the doctor asked.

“I haven’t thought about it yet, doctor.”

“The father will probably want to help choose!”

“Yes, he will!”

“Okay, Alanna, move aside; now it’s my turn!”
