Matheus looked for the two of them and found them in the living room, both gazing at the same cartoon on TV. They were dressed in matching animal onesies, sitting side by side on the couch.

“Good morning. Why didn’t you wake me up?” Matheus asked.

“You were with her all night. I let you sleep,” Alanna replied.

She put Sofia in her baby seat, walked over to Matheus, and gave him a peck on the cheek.

“You two look adorable in those animal onesies. Hahaha.”

“Don’t laugh, they’re comfortable…”

“And cute…”

“Comfortable and cute…”

“Today she turns 30 days old, and we need to get her vaccinated.”

“We can go today. I’ll get the doctor’s clearance.”

Matheus kissed Alanna.

“Yes, we can.”

“Matheus, your phone rang a few times.”

“Why didn’t you answer?”

“It was your mom.”

Matheus laughed and called his mother.

“Hi.”

“Is everything okay? She’s perfect.”

“Yes.”

“Yes.”

“Yes.”
