Days went by, and at 24 weeks, Alanna was a true little ball. Small, all round, absolutely adorable.
Charlotte and Vanessa had implemented a system to prevent Alanna from overworking, and they created the coffee patrol.
Everyone in the office kept an eye on Alanna when she got close to the kitchen. Every day, a different employee caught Alanna trying to sneak coffee or sip from a cup.
Nights were the hardest for Alanna, as that was when she missed Matheus the most. His scent, his affection, his care—things had improved when the baby started moving. She would talk to the baby, and it seemed like the baby responded to every question she asked.
