Chapter 63

Mary woke up frightened at dawn in Zack’s arms. She remembered few things about what had happened a few days earlier, but the dread and the feeling of having someone touch her were still there. Matheus and Alanna hardly let her leave the house, including not going to school.

Zack had become more protective and possessive and almost didn’t go home. Magically, Mary’s parents and sister didn’t pick on him so much when he was in the house. He was running from the guest room to Mary’s room in the early hours of the morning, cuddling up to her.

Mary admired Zack’s plump mouth. She bit his lower lip, waking him up immediately.

“What do you think you’re doing?”
