Chapter 66

The days passed quickly. At 5:00 PM, Mary left the office to pick up Leonard from daycare. She saw Vanessa there, picking up her little Agatha. Leonard and Agatha, born only weeks apart, were adorable omega children. They seemed like twins, always together, protecting each other.

Mary took her son and went home. Zack hadn’t returned from college yet. She made dinner, bathed her son, and sat down to study. At 11:00 PM, Zack arrived. He was in his seventh semester of administration, preparing to inherit his father’s businesses and needing to learn how to manage them. Even though Vanessa suggested he study economics instead, Zack had his own plans.

“Hey, love.”

“Hi, your dinner is in the microwave.”

“Thanks. Sorry I’m late, class ended at 10:30, and then Leonard…”

“He’s in his crib. He didn’t want to separate from Agatha today.”

“You could’ve let him stay with my mom.”

“Ha, no, he’s still too young to spend the night away,” Mary chuckled.
