Chapter 53
Third Person’s POV
"What did you just say?" Matthew inquired, leaning in closer to Yana. Sensing his proximity, she took a step back, but he persisted, closing in until her back was pressed against a wall. He trapped her, his arms also leaning against the wall.
Yana’s voice trembled as she asked, "What are you doing?"
"You missed me, huh?" he taunted.
"It does not have any deeper meaning," she replied, attempting to push him away, but he remained unmoved.
"Your missing me simply means that there’s a room in your heart for me, at least," he stated, bringing his face closer to hers.
"Matthew..." Yana was at a loss for words.
Meanwhile, John arrived on the floor where Matthew’s unit was located. He spotted Matthew cornering Yana against a wall and discreetly hid behind another wall to eavesdrop on their conversation.
