Victoria could not walk around without being reminded of the false rumors that went about. Everyone looked at her as if she had defecated on her body while whispering words to themselves. At first she tried shrugging it off but the constant bickering and scornful looks made it hard for her to ignore.

"I always knew she came into the company with connections. I mean over a hundred candidates and she made the top three and as if that wasn't obvious, she got to be a part of the new programming team in less than two days in the company." Victoria heard a lady she has never seen her life say.

She blinked her eyes fighting the tears that threatened to come out. She didn't expect her name to have gone this far in the company. People from other departments now knew her and they knew her not because she was capable but because of the false rumors that went around.
