Chapter 8

"I must say it's been quite long since I saw you. Where have you been?" Mr Smith asked Landon as soon as Landon sat down on the couch in his office.

"And I must say all these while you didn't call or ask about my whereabouts or what I was doing." Landon retorted with a smirk.

"So Jason, what do you have for me? I'm thirsty." Landon spoke.

"Stand up and get yourself something from the fridge." Mr Smith replied.

"Is that how you treat your guests? I must say you are quite bad at this all. Bad hospitality and bad manners. You wouldn't even come to find me if I didn't come to you." Landon tells him.

"My bad. So how have you been and what have you been up to?" Mr Smith asked.

Landon pinched the bridge of his nose as he crossed his legs. "I got promoted and I got transferred." Landon answered casually.

"What? Are you for real? Congratulations Landon
