Chapter 33. Return of the Fiancee

After showering and changing her dress, Roxanne rushed towards the one place where she knew she could confirm if Lance’s words were a lie or not.

Her parents house.

It was a medium size love cottage located close to the forest and on the quieter side of Los Angeles. Her mother always seemed to enjoy the company of the animals, the trees and all of nature alike.

When Roxanne had been younger, she had grumbled about her mother’s choice of residence since it was so far away from her school and she had to sit in the back of her designated car for hours. At some point, she had threatened to move away as a young kid, her parents simply laughed at her words, but nevertheless, they met her demands and sent her to live with her grandparents until the weekends. That place had gradually become her home out of home where she made so many memories and bonds.
