Jace's POV

It was really weird for me and I could not understand what was actually going on. It would seem that Garrett had been close to me and then he fled.

Everything here was happening so fast and I was beginning to fear for my sanity. My heart was beating so fast these days as I did not know what was going wrong. I eventually managed to go to bed and when I woke in the morning, I had a feeling that I most likely would not last long here with them. I had to start making alternative arrangements for my safety should there be a possibility that I lose this job.

I went over to where I had kept my phone the day I had come here so I could call my former employer. At least, to talk to him civilly which would earn me a little bit of compassion from him if things go south here.
