Chapter 148. History Is Made!

Nate turned to face the elders, his expression resolute. “First of all, I want to acknowledge what happened to Elder Roy and Maddie last night. It was a very scary moment for them and I know it makes the people of this pack scared too, but I want to assure everyone that we have every intention of finding who did this to them.” 

Maddie’s heart raced like a race car, and her throat was so dry. She continued to nod and smile though, there were so many eyes on her and the alpha, that she could not afford to look guilty or suspicious. 

Applause rose in the room and Nate waited for everyone to stop before he continued, “But we can not allow something as terrible as that to ruin a day as historic as this one. This pack is about to have a Luna after years of not having one, and this Luna will be the first one to be an omega!” 

This time, it was not only applause but also cheers that echoed in the room. Nate felt his eyes get teary as he watched his people celebrate
