Chapter 152. Unbelieveable

Maddie froze, her eyes locked on the whiteboard. Her heart raced, a mixture of shock and dread flooding her system. This could not be true, could it? There was a question mark, of course, it was not true, she tried to convince herself. 

But again, if it was not true, then why were the words even on the whiteboard, to begin with?

The omega could not believe what she was seeing. Elder Roy...alive? Oh, how she wished for this to be a joke. She wished that she was dreaming and that she would wake up at any second. 

If this was true, what was she even supposed to do about it? 

Nate reached for her hand, squeezing it gently as if he sensed her tension. “Let’s sit down,” He whispered, guiding her to one of the empty chairs at the table. Maddie nodded numbly, following his lead and taking a seat. 

The officer stood at the head of the table, his expression serious. “Thank you both for coming. I apologize for the abruptness of this meeting, but we ha
