Chapter 181. We Are Not Friends

Maddie took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. She had to stay focused on her mission, even though every part of her wanted to lash out. “I’m not going to do anything, Vanessa. Because I’m better than that,” She said, her voice steady. “I just wanted to talk, for us to try to fix things.” 

The girl scoffed. “Talk? Fix things? You think I care about anything you have to say?” 

Maddie shook her head slightly. “I don’t expect you to care, but I do want to clear things up. We were friends once, Vanessa. Maybe we can at least try to understand each other again.” The omega was proud of herself for not lashing out and giving in to her emotions.
