Chapter 186. An Early Bird

Moments later, her phone buzzed with Jacob’s reply, telling her that he would be available to meet her tomorrow and that she should decide when and where. 

Maddie nodded to herself, grateful for the guy’s prompt response. She stood up, smoothing her clothes and taking another deep breath. She could not afford to waste any time, but she knew she had to rest and gather her strength for the next day. 

As she prepared for bed, Nate finally walked into the room and he closed the door, locking it. He walked towards the omega and chuckled. “You have no idea the kind of sh*t you could have been in by now if I did not step in.” 

“I know, I know,” She sighed in relief. “Thank you so much, Nate.” 

“It’s fine.” He smiled warmly. “Did you at least get the work done?”
