Chapter 190. Unreal

Maddie did not know what to do, she felt the hard beating of her heart. For a few seconds, it was like it was the only thing she could hear, the beating of her heart and her labored breathing. 

She continued to stare at the gun in the guy’s hand, not even knowing what to do or what to say. 

Jacob cursed under his breath and then walked past the omega, making sure to close the door. “Mads, let’s talk. I know what this looks like, but let me explain. Please.” 

Maddie swallowed hard, finally being pulled out of her mind. “Let you explain? How are you going to do that? How are you going to explain the fact that you have been gaslighting me? How are you going to explain that you had taken the gun that could land me in prison, if not dead?” 

Jacob felt tears fill his eyes but he did his best not to let any of them fall. He breathed out a sigh and then took the gun to his desk, opening up a drawer and putting it in there before closing it and locking it
