Chapter 191. The Hard Truth

Maddie left the guy’s house with tears freely falling from her eyes. She did not even look back to see if she was being followed by him or not. And she did not even care if he was or not. 

When she reached her car, she got in and started it. Taking a deep breath and then allowing herself to cry freely for a few minutes, it felt like her heart was being torn in two. 

After those few minutes, Maddie finally got a hold of herself. She lifted her face from the steering wheel and then she saw Mrs. Anderson standing at the front door of the house. She was watching with a very sad expression on her face. 

Maddie flashed the woman a sad smile before starting the car engine and pulling out of the driveway. The drive back was crazy, Maddie was driving very carefully because she could not stop the tears from flowing out of her eyes. 

This felt like a heartbreak, and it was not. So why was she being so dramatic? Or were her reactions and emotions valid? She
