Chapter 231. The Truth, It's Too Hard

Maddie and Nate walked into the chamber and all eyes landed on them, especially the omega. Fear danced in her heart and she had never felt so nervous in her life. She locked eyes with Lara for a few seconds and the lady gave her a nod of encouragement and a small smile. 

“Maddie, what took you so long? You have us on our toes here,” Elder Roy said, chuckling but there was a bit of anxiety under his tone. He wanted to know the answer to their prophecy problem. He wanted to know who the she-wolf was, even though he strongly felt and believed that it was Maddie. 

“Let her have all the time she needs, what she learned is very heavy,” Lara said in response, coming to the omega’s rescue. She adjusted herself in her seat and looked back at the omega, hoping that the girl would make the right choice; so much depended on it.
