Chapter 235. You Have Visitors

Maddie was lying on a very thin mattress that was on the floor. The cell was awful, it smelled like a mix of dead rats and rotten eggs. The floor was filthy and the toilet looked like it had not been cleaned in maybe a year or more. 

It was cold and she did not have a cellmate or anyone who had a cell next to her. All the cells next to her were empty and looked like it was going to remain that way. 

The walls had mold growing on them and the ceiling had some weird liquid leaking from it, not far from where she was lying. 

Maddie was cold but she was not even going to dare to touch the blanket that was on the floor, next to the thin mattress. She could literally see something that looked like puke and something that looked like dried blood on it. 

There was a window though, that was the only bright side. At least there would be some natural light and she would be able to tell whether it was night or day. She adjusted herself on the bed and turned
