Chapter 237. Our Escape

Another hour of just sitting there and doing nothing passed and Maddie could not take it anymore. She gave up, she adjusted her body on the thin mattress and lay down, allowing sleep to carry her away. 

It did not take long and she was already sleeping. It was a dreamless one, her favorite kind of sleep since her life had become chaotic. But then she heard a hushed voice, “Wake up.” 

It was a whisper that pushed her even deeper into dreamland. But then it got louder. “Maddie, wake up!” The omega’s eyes flew open and her vision cleared in seconds, helping her to see two people in her cell. 

The cell was already open but Maddie was tentative, she did not know who the people were. They were guards, yes, but why were they here? Was it time? Was she about to be publicly executed now?
