Chapter 239. No Place Like Home

Half an hour later, Maddie, Lara, and Jacob were led to a house almost in the heart of the rogue pack. Little kids stared at them as they walked into the small building. It was not as modest or fancy as the ones back in the town but it was decent enough. 

Maddie’s father explained to them that the alpha of the rogue pack had been gone for almost a week and was supposed to be back today or tomorrow, but they were not sure. The man had gone on a mission that not a lot of people knew about. 

As they walked into the house, Maddie somehow felt a certain familiarity that she could not explain. It was like she belonged here, everything was calling on her, yearning for her, and she could not resist. 

She felt a peace that she could not explain. This was truly her home, this was truly where she belonged. It was not as impressive as back in the other pack but the omega was grateful to have a place to accept her; a place to truly call home.
