Using the Veto power meant the alpha making a decision or overpowering a decision just because he was the alpha of the pack.

In the history of the pack, leaders rarely used that privilege. It was never used by his parents and the last time it was used was a decade ago. 

Nate did not want to be the alpha to use it now. He knew that this situation was serious, very serious, but he was also torn between the belief that if he used this veto thing, that would not make him a good leader.

“Vanessa, isn’t there any other way?”

“Nate, we don’t have much time. Come and meet me at the elders’ chambers. We can talk there and decide what to do. I’m on my way. Okay?”

“Alright, sure,” he replied before the call dropped. He then placed his phone on the car seat next to him and focused on the road.
