Rhea’s POV
Coming face to face with Lyra especially after what happened felt unsettling. I felt uneasy, I felt this awkward wave of emotion settle on me. It felt nothing like it used to be, it felt awkward and mysterious. This Lyra felt unfamiliar, she looked the same but everything had changed since that night.
Lyra stood in front of the door frame, Cassian and I stood behind it. The look on her face bordered between shock and hurt. I felt horrible, I felt utterly out of place. I shouldn’t be here, I should not be anywhere near them, near their love, they are in love and I am just an obstacle. I wish everything can go back to the way it used to be. I wish we could go back to when things weren’t so uncomfortable, when Lyra was this kind best friend/sister that I looked up to.
