Rhea’s POV

“Whst the hell do you mean by that,” Cassian’s voice held a dangerous calm, his icy cold glare stared at Lyra, pinning her in place. She froze. She looked almost sympathetic for what she had said, for the ridiculous thing she had accused us of. I felt the anger brew inside of me, I felt betrayed by her. Why would she say that? Why in a million years would she even think that?

I tried to justify her paranoia in my mind, tried to tell myself that maybe she is just so stressed, maybe she is just so worked up. I mean this situation cannot be easy for anyone. Finding out that the man you have loved all your life, the man you had hoped and dreamed to spend all your life with is linked to another person, linked to someone you have considered your friend for a long time, that cannot be easy.
