Rhea’s POV

“You have to pick between me and her Rye, I’m not gonna take care of another man’s baby. She ain’t mine so why don’t you take her back to the bastard who knocked you up!”

Billy was always like that; brash, boisterous, angry. He always had liquor in his hand, he always swayed from side to side every time he walked.

To me Billy was a monster but to mom he was her everything. She loved him, oh she really really loved him. Before Billy walked into our lives, it was just mom and I in our tiny apartment which was more like a shack made out of tin and iron.
