Chapter 39. Goblin Sighting

Cedric was sitting at the end of the table in the conference room. He had just finished texting Selena, but she had yet to respond. Cedric's expression looks flat; his aura is mysterious, but his heart is murmuring. Cedric remembered how he had argued with his assistant when he had just arrived at the office.

"Why did you call me when I was on vacation?" Cedric's voice sounded flat, but Bastian could tell the Alpha was upset.

"My apologies, sir. But it's urgent," he replied with his head down. "There is a slight problem in the office and you must check it yourself because it is related to your big project."
