Chapter 45. Focus
Cedric walked away, leaving Selena behind. As usual, he let the woman return to her solitude. A strange feeling crept into Cedric's heart, but Cedric ignored it. He was starting to feel sorry for the woman.
Bastian, who was driving, glanced at Cedric through the rearview mirror. His master was daydreaming, his gaze vacant.
"Is something wrong, sir?"
"Nothing," Cedric replied shortly. But Bastian could see the signs in the Alpha's expression.
"Is this because of Selena?"
Cedric didn't answer. He turned his face toward the window, watching the bustling city scenery gradually fade. Their car entered the forest area.
"Forgive me if I'm being presumptuous, but if you need a solution for Selena, I have a few options," Bastian said. He glanced at the mirror from time to time
