“Is that all you brought?” Cedric asked, eyeing the small backpack Bastian tossed into the trunk. His gaze shifted briefly to the girl approaching behind them, clad in nothing more than jeans and a white shirt.
“What did you expect? That I’d bring all the clothes from your closet?” Selena muttered, rolling her eyes. “Tch, none of it belongs to me.”
Cedric’s brow furrowed. She was clearly irritated, but he paid her no mind. He was conserving his energy, so he slid into the car without another word.
Selena watched him, her irritation flaring hotter.
“I think your master just had a frog for breakfast. He’s acting weird,” she grumbled as Bastian opened the door for her.
“He didn’t eat one,” Bastian replied dryly, “but he did meet one.”
