I was still looking confused when I heard Laci’s voice.

“Is it because of what the old ladies said? Don’t mind them, they are old and superstitious,” Laci said, trying to discourage the worried look on my face.

Then she turned to the women who were just staring at us. “You have gotten your gossip, haven’t you? But listen carefully, if I hear that you spread any ill rumor about our future Luna, I won’t hesitate to point out your names to my brother.”
