Chapter 23
Diego had given me some time to settle in.
He had offered me new sets of clothes, but I refused them, I wanted nothing from him, my clothes were good enough for me.
I couldn't be more grateful that he didn't question me further.
He had given me space and time, just as I had requested and finally I had made up my mind.
I was going to let him claim me as his mate, tarrying would only get supicious.
For the night I had to sleep alone. I didn't want him close by, I wasn't ready or prepared to sleep on the same bed with him, that action alone would bring more guilt, I was sleeping in the same bed with the man who had directly or indirectly killed my parents and ended my pack.
I had to remind myself that I was doing all these for them.
Finally after many hours of staying awake and staring at the celling. I finally slep off, but there was one thing I also didn't think about.
My nightmares.
