Chapter 28. Alluring Smile

Avita ate her lunch in her room and only joined the Larsons for supper since she was through with her task. 

She was embarrassed that she had spent her entire day in her room, but work comes first, and everything else follows. The youngsters were so happy to see her that they called for her. 

"Big sister!" 

"You've arrived! I thought big sister Lucilla was deceiving us!" 

"When have I ever lied to you?" Lucilla asked helplessly of her younger siblings, who appear to admire Avita more than her. 

Felix gave her a 'you always do' look before turning to face Avita with a bashful expression. 

"Um, you were already sleeping when I arrived, so you didn't notice me. How are you doing, kids?" She addressed the children as she brought them to the sofas where Lucilla sat. 

Felicia, on the other hand, was not present at the time, so it was just the kids. Miguel was also absent since he had not returned from work.
