Chapter 27. Her Future

Avita didn't have many fancy clothes with her, so she wore jeans, a T-shirt, and sneakers. 

"Come on, let's go downstairs! Breakfast should be ready by now!" said Lucilla. Avita agreed and went with Lucilla. 

When they arrived downstairs, Felicia was sitting alone at the dining table. Avita was unhappy, but when she considered the time, she realized she had overslept and the rest of the people had long left. 

"Good morning, Auntie!" Avita smiled brightly at Felicia as she greeted the other, masking her regret for not meeting the man she wished to see. 

Felicia smiled when she spotted Avita. The young woman appeared to be more vibrant than she had been the day before, which signified that everything was going well. It would have been exceedingly frightening if she had awoken early after what had occurred to her the day before.
