Chapter 27
Malia was shifting her weight from foot to foot, nervous as a teenage girl on her first date. She was wearing a T-shirt and jeans, her hair done in a simple bun.
Amanda looked at her up and down. "Didn't you say it was dinner?"
Malia groaned deeply. "Come on Amanda! I have barely thirty minutes left!"
Amanda chuckled. "It's not my fault you decided to pack only work clothes."
"Don't you have any gown I could like...borrow?"
Amanda shook her head. She was watching TV and eating chips. "You and I aren't the same size. You're smaller and you know it."
Malia groaned in frustration. She went back to the bedroom and rummaged through her box. She only had work clothes, she hadn't even packed properly.
"Why are you so nervous?!" Amanda yelled from the living room. "It's not like it's a date!"
Malia sighed heavily. "Oh, you're right." She mumbled to herself.
She settled on a pale blue suit
