Alex’s POV
Ezra’s apartment was on the 20th floor of one of those glass high-rises downtown.
The kind of place that screamed bachelor money.
The floor-to-ceiling windows, leather couches, and a bar stocked fuller than most nightclubs.
Normally, I’d have made some comment about him compensating for something, but tonight I wasn’t in the mood.
By the time I reached his door, my chest was already burning with rage.
My hand shook as I pounded my fist against the wood, each knock louder than the last.
“Ezra!” I barked. “Open the damn door.”
There was a beat of silence, then the sound of footsteps.
The door swung open, and there he was, Ezra, my best friend since we were fucking little, my partner in every bad decision, every reckless night and right now, the man sleeping with my little sister.
He smirked like he had been expecting me. “Alex, to what do I owe the pleasure?”
“Cut the crap,” I snarled, shoving past him
