Emily’s POV

Arghh!!!

It was Monday again and another day with the possibilities of seeing Alex, which I prayed to God shouldn’t happen.

As Ava and I walked into the company, I could see the stares people were sent to me.

Do they really think I am not qualified for the position because I have little experience on the job?

I took a deep breath and let it out as Ava and I walked into the elevator.

“Emily, are you listening?”

“I looked at her, my brows furrowed. Was Ava talking?

“Hmmm, I… I…”

“No, you were not. What were you thinking about?”

“Do not tell me it is nothing. I have been talking for the past eight to ten minutes and you did not catch any of it.”

I sighed. I had been caught I guess.

“Hmmm… I know I have said this before but I don’t like the way people look at me in the company. They make me feel like I got this job because I was your friend.” I told her my complaint.
