Emily’s POV

What the hell was that?

Alex is trying so hard to control me and it’s never going to happen.

I was done being told what to do by a man.

I might not have the experience to get this done but I was going to prove to everyone that I wasn’t under qualified.

I pushed through the door of my department.

It was time to get serious.

As I walked through the aisle which led to my office I could feel the stares. I could also taste the disdain.

Fuck them. Ava believed in me and it is time to believe in myself.

I paused and turned around to face them.

They all stared at me with surprise as they waited for what I had to say.

“Team meeting in the next five minutes, don’t be late.” I gave my instructions, not waiting for anyone to object before I walked into my office.

Immediately I closed the door, I let out a loud scream that could pull down the building… good thing that the offices were sound proof.
