Chapter 17

Iris sat dumbfounded on the king-sized bed. The story seemed too good to be true. Y couldn’t end up in dungeons just like that. Something was missing. Some part of the bigger picture that either Iris wasn’t being told or nobody knew. But she felt in her gut that something was not right.

The rest of the women saw her reaction, which was quite opposite to what they had anticipated. Instead of being happy and sighing with relief, Iris just sat there with a frown and slouched deep in thought. Sussane came to stand in front of her and held her by her shoulders,

“Iris! Did you even hear anything Clara just told you? We won! You are free. No need to be scared ever again. Come on, this calls for a celebration. Let’s go shopping!” She declared.

“Suz! Let her process. Girls, leave us alone. Let’s give your queen some space.” Lady Marie scolded.

All the girls nodded as Sussane left the room after giving a bone-shattering hug to Iris one last time and squealing in excite
