Dom found his mate curled up into a small sobbing ball in the corner of the very tunnel he didn’t want her to go near. But instead of entering, she collapsed on the corner before letting out all her emotions.

He slowly approached her to avoid startling her. Within safe distance, he slowly called out to her. Calling her name softly to get her attention and when he did, her reaction shocked him and made him even angrier at the starving werewolf he had left in the cell. Iris looked at who had followed her and seeing it was Dom she screamed at him to ‘Stay away!’

Her reaction confused him. Why won’t she let him help her and calm her down? Didn’t she want to get out of the stinking dungeons? Why wasn’t she allowing him, her mate, and her fiancé to aid her?
